Who's Madame Morgan?
Bonjour! I'm Karen Morgan, French and English teacher at Waterford Union High School in Waterford, Wisconsin. After 20 years of teaching at WUHS, I've learned that each new year presents incredible opportunities and adventures to be had with my students. I, myself, was raised in Waunakee, Wisconsin where I graduated from high school in 1994. I then moved on to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where I was fortunate enough to study abroad for a semester in Toulon, France. Studying in France sparked a passion in me to return in 1999 to teach beginning English to 3rd and 4th grade students in La Ferté Bernard, France for a year--indeed a dream come true. In 2000, I finally graduated from UWEC with a bachelor's degree in French/English Secondary Education, embarking upon the many unknown adventures awaiting me in Waterford, Wisconsin. I've since earned a master's degree in Learning and Literacy from Walden University, and I continue to enjoy graduate classes as a lifelong learner.
It turns out that I enjoy Waterford and its warm, friendly atmosphere. My goal in working with my students is to open their eyes to the experiences that await them--not only in their local community, but in their global community as well. I look forward to working with parents, colleagues, and community members to create meaningful and engaging learning experiences for the young people we encounter each day.
A bientôt!
